Soils and Us is a unit designed for levels two to four, focusing on the relationship between people and soil resources in the Waikato region. The unit includes activities looking at what soil is made of, how we use soil, types of soil and how we can improve and look after our soils.
This unit is curriculum linked to Science, Social Studies, English, Health and Physical Education, The Arts and Technology. It covers a range of essential skills, such as, communicating, problem solving, self management and co-operating.
