Projects
Environment Waikato is involved with many projects throughout the region, all aimed at protecting our environment, our health and our economy.
Ranging greatly in size and scale, they cover everything from community care groups to major environmental restoration programmes.
Our Beachcare programme, for example, works with other councils and communities all over the region to reduce the risk of coastal hazards, enhance biodiversity and protect the natural character of our beautiful beaches.
Other projects, like our drive to protect water quality in Lake Taupo, are nationally significant, involving a number of government agencies and community groups.
