A hot spring perched on a cliff about 5 m above a cold stream, and some springs in the bed of the Waikato River. Extensive sinter deposits indicate that this system was once much more active. ConditionWhangairorohea is classified as a small geothermal system by Environment Waikato. Future logging activities are likely. |
